The Welfare Standing Committee of the Grama Panchayat is an important Standing Committee that works to ensure the welfare and social security of various sections of society. Its primary objective is to promote social justice and improve the quality of life of disadvantaged and marginalized sections of the community.

✅ Leads the implementation and monitoring of various social welfare programmes.

✅ Ensures the welfare and well-being of senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and widows.

✅ Monitors the implementation of social security pension schemes.

✅ Implements programmes for women’s empowerment and child protection.

✅ Coordinates programmes aimed at poverty alleviation and ensuring social security.

✅ Works in collaboration with organisations such as Kudumbashree and Ayalkoottams.
